We are a (NGO) Non-Government Organization formed with the aim to achieve Vision For All by 2020. Ever since its establishment, Vinayak has promised to serve those under served communities who could only earn at the subsistence level & resolving their health issues at a reputed hospital with the highest standards of cures is just a dream. This charitable trust took its shape under the guidance of Dr. Vinay Sharma who thought that in spite of allocating a huge budget to the health sector the government has done no substantial towards the infrastructural development in dispensaries in rural areas. The hospital is located in a semi-urban area and approaches remote rural areas of Meerut, Bagpat, and other districts of U.P., where medical facilities are not easily available.
Vinayak Charitable Eye Hospital Trust provides exclusive services which include eye hospital services, eye surgery services that render quality health services to the poor, neglected and under privileged population at their door step. We aim to reduce blindness by doing 3000 Cataract Operations (ECCE & P/C OL), empower ourselves with the state of the equipments, provide commutation for the patients to the base hospital.&

Charitable Eye Hospital

With the aim to achieve “vision for all”, we have established the charitable eye hospital to provide quality eye care services to weaker sections of the society. The hospital is situated in a semi-urban area and is accessible to the remote rural areas of Meerut, Bagpat, and other districts of U.P., where medical facilities are not easily available. The hospital provides exclusive services like: mobile eye care unit and mobile comprehensive eye care unit that render quality health services to the under privileged population.

Eye Care Trust Hospital

Our eye care trust hospital stands for excellence in eye care, it is one of the most advanced eye centers ever constructed. Not only are we better able to provide the unequaled care our patients come to expect from us, but our education and research capabilities are second to none, making us the best care eye hospital in the Indian metros.

Mobile Eye Care Unit

Our Mobile Eye Care Unit is a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art medical eye care clinic on wheels. Our volunteer group of qualified ophthalmologists work continuously to offer eye care services to the remotest area.

Eye Care Unit

Our state of the art Eye Hospital has a special Eye Care Unit that is fully equipped with latest instruments and equipment to carry out various tests, diagnostic studies and operations pertaining to eye care.

OUR ENDEAVOR
With the yearn to provide ailment free environment we plan to commence with a program known as Community Eye Care Program which would start from 01-01-05 & would with extend till 31-12-07. The main objectives of the program would include:-

• Provision of affordable, appropriate & accessible eye care to the economically backward community of rural areas
• Provision of a complete spectrum of eye care to the underprivileged backward & illiterate rural community by imparting comprehensive services in preventive, promotive care and creating awareness among the masses for health care & cautioning them against the undesirable ramifications
• To make the selected regions of Meerut & Baghpat District “Cataract Free Zone” in terms of backlog of Cataract
• Sustainability & consistency in the services

OUR TARGET
We scheme to reduce blindness by doing 3000 Cataract Operations (ECCE & P/C OL) equip ourselves with the state of the equipments, provide commutation for the patients to the base hospital.& also to disseminate the basic and relevant information for general public awareness and education.

ACHIEVEMENTS

• Vinayak as a charitable eye care trust laid its roots 6 yrs back. Ever since its existence it has solely focused to serve the rural community with the best of the medication & specializing to provide aliments against all types of eye ailments. With such a determination in mind Vinayak started its journey and now it stands parallel to any city hospital that claims to bear the most knowledgeable and efficient doctors with the best quality of medication. Vinayak hospital has worked rigorously to achieve. 5 Year of services of base hospital
• It has been able to give a new ray of hope to more than 2,00,000 rural masses.
• Identified 18200 blind people due to cataract and other eye diseases.
• It has cured more than 10,400 patients suffering from cataract with the IOL implantation free of cost.
• It has run successfully run 254 free eye camps in rural areas in last 5 years.
• Vinayak Charitable Eye Hospital Trust is currently doing all activities related to Vision 2020.
• Has examined more than 65,000 school children for visual defects.
• It has shown a new day to the patients & has imparted prevention of blindness through surgeries.
• Has created awareness for prevention and cure of all forms of avoidable blindness with emphasis on under served communities.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Our accomplishments are subjected to the cures , heals & restoration of health of the patients. The overwhelming response, & satisfaction from the patients end has encouraged us to proliferate in providing them with even better treatments & medications. The distinguishing feature of Vinayak is that the doctors apart from relieving the patient from physical ailments also endeavor to cure the sufferer psychologically by giving the much needed courage and countenance. This has assisted us to have patients coming not only from Meerut but all the surrounding places of Meerut. Our altruistic and prudent doctors tries to comprehend the pangs of the patient and establishes a healthy rapport with him which gives him immense confidence to resolve his vacillations.

THE DEFINING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PROGRAM
The programme endeavors in delivering and creating awareness among the people through a a comprehensive approach in prevention & cure through peripheral eye sub-centers for a target population of 2.5 million in two districts of Uttar Pradesh. We aim to proclaim the targeted region as a “Cataract Free Zone” in terms of backlog of cataract by performing a good number of surgeries per million population. The gamut of services to be provided would encompass alleviation of eye diseases , screening of school going children for any eye disease & scrinning free eye camps for cataract and restore their sight by operating them free of cost at Vinayak Eye Hospital.
